How does Kinesiology Work?Kinesiology is a non-invasive health discipline that uses the gentle art of muscle monitoring to access information about a person's well being. Kinesiologists use muscle feedback as a stress monitor to identify imbalances in their client's structural, chemical, mental and emotional energy systems. Differences in muscle balance are indications that all is not well in the body. It may be the result of injury, emotional trauma, nutritional problems or other unresolved stress. Where the energy flow is interrupted, the whole body is affected and by correcting these imbalances, the kinesiologist is able to re-activate the body's built-in healing ability as well as identify external factors affecting the client's well-being. Kinesiology looks beyond symptoms and does not treat named diseases nor does it diagnose them. We recognize the flows of energy within the body not only relate to the muscles but to every tissue and organ that make the body a living, feeling being. This energy balancing that is at the heart of Kinesiology may involve dealing with one or more of the stress factors already mentioned: identifying a nutritional lack or excess, clearing a negative emotional component, relieving pain, stimulating the integration of muscle groups, or improving mental and physical coordination. Kinesiology identifies factors which block the body's natural healing processes. We work with the body's energy systems with the aim of restoring the flow of your own natural energies and helping you to achieve your maximum potential as human beings. Kinesiology has close links with the acupuncture concept of meridian flows and acupressure points. It combines western techniques with eastern wisdom to promote physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health.
